M&K Rail Construction LLC is a leading railroad contractor dedicated to providing comprehensive solutions for the rail industry. We were founded in 2022 by Kyle Sidebottom and Mark Shirshekan and are still owned locally in Saint Genevieve, MO to proudly serve the Midwest.
We offer a wide variety of equipment and services, such as railroad track inspection and maintenance, track construction and rehabilitation, switch and crossing installation, bridge construction and repair, trackside vegetation management, and emergency response and repair services. Kyle Sidebottom
President

industry, rising from a track laborer to a top-level executive position. He demonstrates the ability to lead by example and drive exceptional performance across teams at all levels of the organization. He is adept at collaborating with multiple railroad companies to execute projects safely, efficiently, and beyond expectations. He is detail-oriented and standards-driven, consistently exceeding industry standards and delivering superior results.
Andy Bridgford
Director of Operations
Andy is a dynamic, detail-oriented leader with extensive experience in the rail construction industry. He has a long record of success with mul
multiple companies, excelling in every role. He demonstrates a hands-on approach with values-driven leadership style, treating employees and customers like family. He’s prioritizes safety and is an adept critical thinker who navigates challenges to complete projects accurately and on time.

RECENT PROJECTS
Pike Lincoln County Port
March 2023
Completely Rehabilitated an abandoned port. Removed all vegetation throughout the facility, installed over 2500 ties and ballasted entire track while surfacing over 10,000TF with multiple raises. Installed new rail and truck scales along with new buildings. This project was completed on time and on budget with a happy customer.
Colt Railroad Line Rehab
May 2023
Removed and installed 2500 TF of rail, installed over 1,000 cross ties, surfaced 5,000TF, installed new bond wires where needed. This project was completed on time and on budget with a happy customer.
Hydrite Chemical Track Extension
October 2023
Constructed 3,000TF of track from the ground up including all grading and sub grade to meet customer’s specs. Most of this project was designed at a thirteen degree curve and Constructed 4 Turnouts. All construction met engineers specifications. This project was completed on time and under budget. Both
the engineer and the customer were very satisfied.
WFEC Rail Line Renewal
November 2023
Furnished and installed 12,500 cross ties, replaced13 Ea crossings through out track, furnished and installed 11,000 tons of ballast, surfaced and dressed 73,920TF. This project was completed on time and under budget. Both engineer and the customer were very satisfied.
TRRA MacArthur Bridge
March 2024
Successfully executed replacement of 1,038 TF on MacArthur Bridge, including welding the rail and conducting distressing and surfacing operations. Meticulously removed existing tracks, assessed structural integrity, and welded new rails into place. Implemented distressing
techniques to enhance
durability and ensure
safe rail laying
temperature and
surfacing.
